American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed via tweet (see below) the fourth actor who has has signed on for season three of the anthology show: Lily Rabe. This will mark Rabe’s third season with the show: in season one she played Nora, the grieving ghost of the home’s original owner, and in season two, she played Sister Mary Eunice, a nun possessed by a demon.
Rabe will join what has become Murphy’s AHS acting ‘troupe’ — previously announced cast members Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, and Sarah Paulson, all of whom have also been with the show since season one. In addition, Taissa Farmiga is said to be in talks to return to the third season. She played the troubled daughter Violet Harmon, who was half of the teen romance with Evan Peters as “Tate” in American Horror Story, chapter one.
For now, plot details are few, but Murphy has said that chapter three of American Horror Story will be set in modern times with both a humorous and historical slant as well as a focus on young romance. Once the title is revealed and character descriptions are ‘shared’, we should be able to get down to some real speculating.
