In the aftermath of the slaughter of her people, Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett) seeks a truce with Fiona (Jessica Lange) and the Coven… but her dark master, Papa Legba (Lance Reddick), demands his annual due. The next morning, Cordelia (SARAH PAULSON) is horrified when she finally learns that Hank is a Witch Hunter… and Marie confesses hiring him to kill the Coven. Fiona is forgiving of Marie on the grounds that she was doing what she had to do, but is furious with Cordelia for having married Hank and letting him turn her against her own mother. They learn that Hank’s father, Harrison, was his primary employer, and they cast a spell to make his corporation begin losing money, the better to weaken him. Later, Fiona attempts to out Misty (Lily Rabe) as the next Supreme. When Misty proves uninterested in the position, Fiona tempts her by inviting a White Witch… Stevie Nicks, Misty’s favorite singer. All the girls are enraptured by Stevie, except Madison (Emma Roberts), who is upset that Misty is the new Supreme-apparent, and, in her jealousy, goes to extreme lengths. Meanwhile, as Fiona becomes ever more ill, she asks Marie for the secret of her eternal youth, and Marie tells her the terrible price. As Fiona brings the Axeman a proposition and learns a startling truth about herself, Nan, wielding her growing powers, confronts Joan about Luke’s death. And later, Marie and Fiona make a terrible deal – a deal involving a most unexpected betrayal.

Vulture Ryan Murphy Interview Excerpt:
Vulture: Is Queenie dead dead?…
Ryan Murphy:[Laughs.] I think we will all miss Queenie. It’s been a really great role for Gabourey Sidibe. Wait until the Stevie Nicks episode (10). All will be revealed there.
It hints at what happened to Queenie, and then in episode 11, we tell you what happened.
Somebody’s gotta go down on the show!…
Actually, two of the Seven Wonders [powers that the Supreme should be able to demonstrate], which is the title of our finale coming up in January, are about life everlasting and resurrection.
It makes sense that it’s something we can play with…
By the finale, which is turning out to be a veritable bloodbath, if you’re dead, you’re dead.
The people who could possibly help bring you back, who have those powers, are gone.
Where we go with (Mme. LaLurie/Kathy Bates) after tonight’s episode is pretty interesting. The head storyline is not done. The big question is after Queenie is killed is, “Who goes upstairs and gets her head?”
It’s going to get passed around like a Christmas sweater.
The Season 3 finale will be called “Seven Wonders”
American Horror Story has cast Lance Reddick, of Fringe and The Wire fame, as Papa Legba, a “voodoo Satan,” according to EW. He’ll factor into the final four episodes of the season as someone important in Marie Laveau’s (Angela Bassett) life.
